The Ski Ambassadors of
Colorado Springs were organized in January 1976. Membership is open
to all
who enjoy skiing and other seasonal sports such as; biking, camping,
hiking, golfing, skating, social activities such as picnicking,
movie and theater productions, club parties, and civic activities
such as
our "Ski for Kids" program.
The Ski Ambassadors Club is a member of the National Brotherhood
of Skiers (NBS), a national organization composed of more
than 80 ski,
sport, and travel clubs in four regions - Western, Midwestern,
Eastern, and Rocky Mountain. The Ski Ambassadors Club is a
member of the
Rocky Mountain Region which is composed of clubs in the
states of Arizona,
Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota,
Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Utah.
Since 1973 the NBS has sponsored a Summit on odd numbered years
and a Mini-Summit on even numbered years which is attended by
over 3,000
skiers and non-skiers.
